Mother | Wife | Runner | Yogi | Bird-Watcher | Artist | Art Teacher
I grew up in Portola Valley, California, surrounded by nature from an early age. I have a love for birds, influenced by my Mother, an avid bird-watcher and photographer. I have always been the most, "at peace", outside in nature with my binoculars, spending any free time I have, outside on a mountain or by a creek, or running up a trail, camping.
I graduated college with a degree in Art, and immediately started teaching art to Elementary schools throughout the Bay Area, grades K-5, through a non-profit organization, Community School of Music and Arts, in Mountain View, California. I created a blog, www.robinlazzara.blogspot.com, and started blogging after work, posting art projects, and exceptional works of my students. It was a way to keep parents, teachers and the community, "tuned in", to what was happening in art class. I later, started my own, small business, RL Arts, through which I teach kids and adult art classes, paint interior and exterior murals, paint Little Free Libraries, and enjoy community beautification through art.
Currently, I spend most of my time raising my son Hunter who also loves being outside and in nature, exploring, looking at birds, and running up trails (Yes, he loves to run at the age of 2.5). In addition, I work part-time teaching art classes, painting murals and developing my business. (Last Edited 3/2018)
